You are probably not here by accident!
I do not widely promote my services on social media or using search engines, most of my clients come to me on the recommendation of a friend who has previously used my services - There is no Search Engine trickery going on here - If you are here you probably want some help and I am here to provide that help.
There is just me - a maths teacher with 10 years experience teaching and 30 years experience in industry. I aim to teach and coach students through exams while giving them a feel for maths in the real world based on real life experience.
It doesn't matter whether you are "good" at maths or "don't get it", young or old, I am here to help you strengthen your maths abilities.

Getting the best results...
This is a dedicated maths tutoring service, there is just one tutor and, in most cases, tutoring is a one-on-one basis; teaching and practicing the skills and knowledge that each individual student requires.
Initial Consultation: A no-cost, no-obligation session will be arranged where you will be able to meet me and I will be able to understand the needs of the student.
Customised Plan: A student specific plan that may, where appropriate, follow the Scheme of Learning from the students school or be planned around specific needs.
Active Coaching: A series of tutoring sessions using directed instruction.
Progress Review: To confirm that appropriate progress is being made.
Important Note
As an experienced teacher who repeatedly guided students to success, I know that one of the most important things I need to do is see what students are doing: When we receive immediate feedback on an error we are much less likely to repeat that error in future.
For this reason, face-to-face lessons often achieve the best outcomes, but this is dependent on a students specific needs.
Delivery options
Tutoring can be done face-to-face at my facility or at the students home. Online services are also available.
We provide services in southern Derbyshire and the surrounding areas, including Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Measham, Swadlincote, Burton-on-Trent and Tamworth. I have provided services outside of these areas in the past by special request, please contact me for more information.
